Excerpt: It seems as though at least once a week mobile companies send an SMS to their customers offering them the opportunity to change their ringtone for a small fee. You may or may not want to change your ringtone, but the offer is there for you to take up. Some people never change their ringtone and stick with the one they decided upon when they first got their mobile phone, which came with a selection of tones. That way at least they know when it’s their phone that’s ringing if it has been abandoned for a while in a handbag or briefcase. It’s rather like a mother recognizing when it’s her child that is crying in a crowded play area. We have all become so attached to our mobile devices that we recognize their ‘voice’. There are so many ringtones out there for us to download that really we are spoilt for choice. It would make sense for us to change our ringtones frequently so that we can have different music depending on our mood. A resounding few chords of Beethoven’s “Pathetique” for example if we are feeling forceful or a quiet melody if we are calmer. The choice is ours, and perhaps we really ought to seek to change our ringtones more frequently than we do. Have you bothered to check out websites that offer wallpaper and ringtones recently?
