Excerpt: Released by PopCap games on May 5, 2006, Bejeweled 2 Deluxe is one of those rare sequels that actually manages to outdo its predecessor. Basic game-play works just like it did in the original. Players simply swap two adjacent gems in order to match three or more gems of the same colour in a horizontal or vertical fashion. Matching gems causes them to disappear, with neighbouring gems shifting position to fill the newly-created gaps. Players remain on a level until no more matches can be made. The game is simple enough to be picked up by anyone within a matter of seconds, but is exciting enough to keep one addicted for days. Never again do casual gamers have an excuse to complain about boredom! Bejeweled 2 Deluxe maintains the same exciting game-play everyone has come to enjoy without the boredom exhibited by the legions of copycat games that have flooded the market. It comes with four different gaming modes to choose from, including two more that have been added for this new release. Players can choose from Classic, Action, Endless, and Puzzle modes. The Classic mode offers game-play exactly like the original Bejeweled. Action mode puts the player up against the clock, forcing the player to make moves quickly before time runs out. Endless mode lets the player get his or her game on until, well, forever! Choose this mode for virtually endless game play in attempts to gain the highest score….
